i tried to boot a kernel built from GENERIC minus the eisa lines and it
probes fine but hangs changing the root device to sd0. any suggestions?
i have current boot blocks. is there stuff in GENERIC that doesnt work
at the moment. i'm going to try taking even more out of GENERIC to the
bare minimum of my setup
