3 comments:

a) RFC865 says that quotes should be less than 512 bytes so fortune -s
   is probably more appropriate

b) Even though RFC865 doesn't require it, the quote service should
   really produce NETASCII output, so perhaps it should be piped
   through sed s/$/^M/ or something.

c) do we need a simple standard udpcat(1) so we can implement a UDP
   qotd server, etc in shell scripts ?
