I'm really asking an i386 question here, but I sent this to current-users
since it may or may not apply to each 'arch' individually.

Does the kernel support multiple devices configured on the same interrupt?

The default config files for GENERIC have two ethernet cards both on IRQ 9(2),
with different IO addresses (These _must_ be different).

Is the kernel checking the devices to see who sent the IRQ, or will they
NOT both operate at once, and are just there for autoconfig's sake?
