 A real libdes that works (interoperably) with Kerberos is certainly
 available.  I don't have URL references at this moment, One of the better
 non-US sites for crypto software is ftp.dsi.unimi.it.  There's another in
 Finland that's got a lot of stuff too.  There is a distribution which
 drops into the MIT K4 source tree and just works, but I don't know how
 easy it would be to drop that into a NetBSD K4 tree.
