Ok, as a few people correctly pointed out, resize is only for xterm.

Is there a program which one can use to correctly guess the size of
the terminal on is logging in from.
i.e. Something which will recognise:
I'm on a 50lin 132col pcvt or,
a hpux text-screen 149 col,
a 24line Dos-telnet session,
a 25line Dos-telnet session,
etc..
Or how do other people solve the problem of allways logging in from
differently sized screens ?

Cheerio
