I've just received the voxware sound drivers (originally the Linux
sound kit, but now with FreeBSD & some SVR4.2 ports.) These drivers
seem to support SB, SB-PRO, PAS16, GUS, (and with some patches
getting posted on the Netaudio list <nas@ncd.com>, SB-16) much better
than the current drivers on NetBSD.

Does any of the core team (Charles?) want a look at this stuff, and
even possibly: a) integrate them, and b) liase (spel?) with the
developers to keep the netbsd diffs in the original? I'll bounce
them someone's way.

[ I had a look at the FreeBSD parts and it looks like wouldn't take
much work for a person uptodate with the way drivers currently
work on the 386 port (which I'm not).]

The main reason I'd like to see this in is PAS16 support :)

Luke.
