	Hi,
I'm running an (old) NetBSD-current (from 16/04/94). I've just tried a
3com 3c509 adapter, and i've some problems. Whith ftp, getting a file
(2M) from an hp9000/710 give me a transfer rate of 30 Kb/s (instead of
600 whith a 3c503). When hash is on, i can see that data comes by 'packets'
whith a size between 10 and 100 kb.
Putting the same file give me a transfer rate of 200kb/s (instead of 600
whith a 3c503).
I've tried to put the new driver (tar_balls of 31/05/94) in my old kernel,
this doesn't change anything. I just get some 'fifo underflow' when putting
the file (Not when getting).
I've tried this 3c509 whith linux, i get 700 kb/s whith ftp.
Here is my adapter config:

I/O: port 280
IRQ: 10
Boot Prom: disable
Tranceiver: On board TP (RJ-45)
Network driver opt: server
Maximum modem speed: 38400

Does anybody use a 3c509 whith 'usable' performances ? Does it work better
whith newer current ?
