I just thought I'd also mention that I'm seeing the X server
eat the CPU when used on recent kernels.  A little ktracing
shows that its select calls are continuously returning when
no I/O is possible (presumably on the mouse port and on the
X socket).  I havn't investigated any further, but I think
I'll try rebuilding the X server first.

Specifically, this is the XFree86 2.1 server running a kernel
from a sup on Friday.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
