It doesn't work, because the binary snapshot is compiled
off of later sources than the last tarballs, and the sources
differ in ways that keep it from working...

I mentioned some things about needing up upgrade your systems,
etc., to remove some bogus syscalls i had to add -- well, they were
(for all intents and purposes) removed before the snapshot was made.
