Sorry, I should have mentioned that...
Actually, I don't know much more than you about it; I just was asked
to set it up on our gateway, because several new users can't use ppp
(Linux, I guess).

'dip' = dial up ip manager; a "pppd" for users who can't type "slattach" ;-)

I never used dial-up slip, does -current all cleanup on hangup by itself?
