hence, 1AM would show as 1AM for US/Pacific, but 2AM would show
as 3AM for US/Pacific (or US/Mountain, etc...).


all of my clocks show the correct time now; i was baking brownies
at 1 and 2 AM (and therefore 3AM 8-), so i can't say exactly what it
looked like then...
