Has anybody any Idea what could have caused following
problem:

<root@wipux2:/usr/src/lib/libc> make
creating accept.o
as: {standard input}:307: Ignoring junk '(cerror)' after expression
*** Error code 1

Stop.
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 126675 Jan 7 22:14 /usr/bin/as
-r-xr-xr-x 2 bin bin 71955 Jan 7 22:10 /usr/bin/gcc
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 103623 Jan 7 22:11 /usr/libexec/cpp

all programms are new and statically compiled, and libc was
compiling, fine before I installed them, I've tried getting
a completely new set of libc-files, after deleting the
directory, but that didn't change the problem.
I've also tried recompiling the programs.

On another topic. Compiling login statically fails due to
and undefined symbol __logname_valid from setlogin.o

Cheers
