Has anyone else noticed behavior like this?

#netstat -s

tcp:
	11033 packets sent
		9408 data packets (3089452 bytes)
		808 data packets (435475 bytes) retransmitted
                ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                All this after less than 60 minutes of operation.

I'm fairly certain that all the hardware is fine (I've swapped everything 
with known working hardware), the problem didn't appear until after 
upgrading to current. I'm using a WD8013 network card.

Try doing an anonymous ftp transfer, it usually averages about 5k now 
when it used to be around 150k before.
