   As Mark Eichin recently reported, this is a long-standing bug in *BSD,
   dating back to 386BSD 0.0, which, among other things, breaks the build
   of Kerberos.

Breaks the build of which kerberos? KerberosV? I build the Net2
(non-MIT) version of KerberosIV w/o trouble... Zephyr, on the other
hand, nearly killed me, but its working...
