 Improving the error messages provided by atf is a huge task.  It involves
 reviewing the code that raises the errors and auditing the callers to
 ensure they propagate/extend the messages appropriately. And given that
 there are generally no tests for error paths, I'm quite afraid of touching
 this.

 One of the things I'm paying attention to during the "atf v2" (aka Kyua)
 is error reporting.  I'd like to tear down this ad-hoc and slow bug
 tracker to simplify my life, so if you don't mind I prefer closing this
 (otherwise speak up!).  We can address concerns about specific error
 messages, but a general audit is very hard to track and to achieve :-/
