I am using NetBSD 1.0 in 25MHz Amiga 3000 (with boot roms)
with 2 megs chip and 8 megs fast memory where the first
4 megs of fast are Static column and the last 4 megs Page
mode ZIPS. I have also EGS Spectrum card.

I cannot use the lower 4 Megs of fast memory if I have loaded
any kickstart (v2.x or 3.x) but everything is working if I use
that -k option (which disables those first 4 megs :) with
loadbsd (2.9 and 2.10). But if I try to use all fast mem I
only get a white blank screen. That happens also if I try to
use any part of the first megs with -m option. Spectrum
works with my kernel compiled with cirrus-3, however.

But if I don't boot any Kickstart (after cold start) and
use those 1.4b KS roms I can use all fast memory (if I just
use -c 3000 with loadbsd) but then NetBSD won't notice my
Spectrum at all.

I know that I should have at least one page mode chip in
the first bank if I don't have only SC memory byt can that
be the problem if it still works with KS1.4beta (boot roms)?
So do I have to choose between memory and Spectrum or can I
have both, please..? :-)
