  There was a short period of time (which I think was prior to the 1.0
release) that a bug in gcc caused a problem with NFS exporting a file.
The symptoms were a little different though - the exported file received
the proper number of bytes, but they were all zeros.  This should have
been fixed in the 1.0 release.

  I have been exporting NFS between two NetBSD-Amiga systems for quite
some time, and only noticed the problem caused by the gcc bug.  I certainly
don't remember seeing anything where the file ended up empty.
