 Exactly that reason is why i dislike TERM, need TERM-ified versions of
every app, starting from irc, ftp over to xarchie and Mosaic. And
those TERM-ified versions do not work in the local-network :-/

 I havent thought on an LKM yet, but that sounds great :-)
