I tar Linux kernels onto a smallish (reserved) partition, and then
under AmigaDOS, use dcp to grab the first couple of Meg of that
partition, and untar from the resulting file.  Quick and reasonably
easy.

If the "FLAT" handler worked properly, I could just untar right off of
"flat:dhx".
