The GG2 work have become an order magnitude better performancewise,
but still below 100k/s, typically 50k/s varying drastically depending
on luck. Well, basically it's the INT6 level that's the source of all
sorts of problems (like the known malloc/free splimp business). I can
handle this in due time, but for now I have greater problems with a
burnt HD controller board on my main HD. I have also got a Zeus board
(finally :-) which seems to be a bit more picky regarding the length
of SCSI cabling and synch negotiation and such. I have confidence I
will get my Amiga back in shape, but I cannot say when, my spare time
is limited these days. However, the recent purchase of the Zeus and
a CD-ROM drive drastically increase my Amiga's sex appeal :-) so I
guess I'll find time sooner rather than later.

You Zeus' owners, does PPSscsi2.device synch negotiate
unconditionally on startup? I had to disable synch on my SCSI-2
FUJITSU 1 GB drive, to make PPSscsi2.device detect the drive.
What are the latest revison of the ROM? Does Progressive still
exist? Are the files found on their BBS somewhere on Internet?
