I was playing with AmigaDOS TeX, and I discovered that all the documentation
for dvips breaks horribly with
\newif
causing problems.  Help!  Can anyone who's ever gotten this to work on
any platform tell me where the !#@*@# I get \newiff defined?
I need one of these TeX packages to work.

(dvips for amigados seems to be hopelessly broken, unfortunately; the
provided scripts won't even execute, the argument lists are wrong, et
al.)
