Or _any_ UN*X kernel, depending on what you're trying to do with it.

UNIX and UNIX-like systems do some things well, the various 'native'
operating systems for various machines are generally meant to do other
things well (or, e.g. for PC DOS, are meant simply to do other
things...  8-).


It always amuses me when people say "i want to run UNIX on my
xxx-piece-of-hardware" because a lot of people have no clue _why_ they
want to do that, other than that it's "cool"...  "ah well."
