In regard to top being off, it is not right for me either, the real
mem is fine, I am willing to believe that of 6 meg I have 3.048 usable
with .608 available. Swap however is a bit odd, my partition is 25
meg, I have 8.2 in use-- maybe, pstat -s says 12 in use and top jumps
round, but roughly 8-10, but where in the world did the 4272 Meg of
total swap come from ??.. I wish..

and finally what does the 144k hve to do with life?

load averages: 0.05, 0.07, 0.01 17:20:30
12 processes: 1 running, 9 sleeping, 2 stopped

Memory: Real: 608K/3048K Virt: 8216K/4272M Free: 144K

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
 7301 root 30 0 352K 320K run 0:00 32.00% 1.56% top
  193 root 18 0 608K 536K sleep 1:00 0.88% 0.88% tcsh

I looked at the source and wondered if we are using mem block sizes of
8192 (bytes?), as that is what the code expects... but I dunno

ah well..

just my 2 cents
