In addition, I notice the following:

- w terminates with a "proc size mismatch".  So does ps.
- I get no "Where are you" as reported by a previous user.
- who shows me with no tty.
- rlogin completely screws up the terminal: my password shows when I type it,
  and everything is double-spaced.  Telnet works OK.  Both of these are over
  a SLIP link.

I am using 1.0 release (not pre-release beta) binaries.  The problems only
happen with a homebrew kernel, which contains no local patches other than
ITE of 649x450 (106x50).  My config:
