Unlikely. Glxinfo used to answer me "direct rendering Yes" before. There 
maybe something wrong with the GL and GLU libs, yet, I can't understand 
why glxgears and glxinfo give that obvious discrepancy.

To check out, I recompiled totally glxgears and glxinfo, and I got the 
same response.
