Yeah, I think they split the workload differently depending on the 
speed of the machine. Maybe a vax could handle the lighter stuff.
They seem happy to have slower machines do this work.
 
Some PVM based distributed apps on the VAX would be cool, 
only common one I can think of is povray. A (VAX) PVM version of the GIMP 
mersenne prime code would be nice running on a "home cluster".
