Hi,
I was just musing today as to how efficient the swapping code is, I've
got a 4M microvax 3100 m10e, which now (after a few days tweaking) now has
a working install of NetBSD-1.5. It takes literally hours to boot tho
(cause by the time the kernel is loaded into RAM, there's <2M for the rest
of the system). During this time I'd expect to hear the drive with swap on
going absolutly mental, but it's quite quiet, with only intermediate
bursts of activity. I'm not sure whether this is just the speed of the
machine, or whether the caching code isn't behaving quite as it should.

There's 48M of swap and 4M of ram (I'm planning on getting another 4M
soon, which should help)

Bye for now,

       Matt
