the exactly same thing happened to me on my MVII.

if you boot to single-user, fsck all partitions, and reboot woth sync'ed
disks, it should come up nicely.

NetBSD 1.3.2 has a problem with fsck during boot on MVII (dont ask me why
or about detials - i dont know) so it wont boot all the way if it has to
fsck the disks. so if you fsck manually in single user, so the computer
have nice & clean filesystems at boot-time it should boot nicely.
