Yeah, that could be it.  I hadn't used the screws on the SDI connectors
because the connection was purely temporary (I have more than enough
free disk space on that MicroVAX).  I should have used the screws
because SDI connectors don't have much friction so they don't stay in
without screws.  Now I've tightened the screws, and the next time I take
everything down I'll check the cables.

I just hope that this is the right error code.  It makes sense, and I'll
beleive it for now, but the RA81/82 are a bit different.  For example
the RA80 has rotary switches and 8 LEDs for diagnostics, while it's my
understanding that the RA81 and RA82 have a serial port.

In any case, if it isn't a problem with the HDA, I'm happy.
