So seeing port-sgimips being created has got me up and looking on eBay and
other such places for a replatively cheap SGI to play with. I figured I'd
bug you folks to see if I should avoid anything or specifically look for
something.

I'd like to avoid anything that is obviously not going to run NetBSD now
or ever, or be too slow to be any fun to play with. Obviously, as this
is sgimips, the old m68k machines are out, which is just fine.

So, which low-end machines are likely to run the NetBSD port, or already
can make it through enough of the initialization that they can be expected
to work at some point. Ideally, I'd like a box where I'd be able to
contribute to the effort somehow, but given my time constraints, I don't
expect to be getting whole new system up and booting 8-)

(PS: Is there some repo of docs you folks have collected on the SGI
 hardware?)

Thanks for any tips!
