I got that as well on my 7300 running a Tempo Trio ATA/133 card; the
transfers would get downgraded to DMA mode 2 after a CRC error. Eventually
I grew tired of the error, even though it was benign, and altered the
kernel just to do it by default. I *also* reported this error some time
ago.
