Sorry if that wasn't clear.  I intended to imply that NFS was used to find
the kernel, and nothing else... bootp is used to determine what file to tftp
by default.  Right?

Yes, I netboot my G3 as well.  I haven't rebuilt the loader in ages, but
it's the kernel that has been giving me fits.
