Subject: Should I worry about these SCSI errors?

Well, my Mac SE/30 is working great, and serving up web pages
quite well at "http://ingles.homeunix.org/". No problems, and
"ssh -1" is acceptably fast, thanks again to everyone.

But some messages that appear on boot have me worried:

-----------------------------------------------
sd0 at scsibus0 target 0 lun 0: <IBM,DRS\134000\13400045, S97B> SCSI2
0/direct fixed
sd0: 4357 MB, 8387 cyl, 5 head, 212 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 8925000 sectors

sd1: mode sense (4) returned nonsense; using fictitious geometry
sd1: 1325 MB, 1325 cyl, 64 head, 32 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 2714953 sectors

-----------------------------------------------

 Now, sd0 (a 4GB external SCSI disk) and cd0 (a 2x external SCSI
CD-ROM) do, in fact, exist. But sd1-sd5, which apparently are LUNs
for sd0, do *not* exist. I'm not using them, obviously, and so far
things are just fine.

The same messages come up with either the regular or SBC kernel.
Sometimes some console messages complaining about the nonexistent
LUNs show up, I can get those if needed. There's a Linux boot option
to not probe SCSI LUNs, but a bit of searching hasn't turned up
something similar for NetBSD.

Should I just not worry about it? If I should worry about it, what
can I do?

 Sincerely,

 Ray Ingles (248) 737-7300 x22317
