Yes.  I've tested my X server at 640x480, 832x624, and 1152x870, each
at 1-, 4-, 8-, and 16-bit mode.  Everything seemed to work on my
Q840AV.

This usually means there's no grf device available for the X server.

Which version of NetBSD with which kernel and which X server are you
using?  There's too little information to help you.
