Is it possible to specify an NFS root device in the booter?  I can't find
where this would be set, and 'ask alternate' doesn't seem to do anything.  I
can't find any documentation about the config file to build a kernel with
such a root filesystem either..

The kernel must load from a MacOS file, because the machine is completely
diskless.
