Attempting to boot my P550 this afternoon I was greeted by this message:

root on sd0a dumps on sd0b

and then the boot hangs.

On the previous boot I was prompted to run ffs due to an "unexpected
inconsistency" in the file system. Nothing was reported but fsck_ffs
indicated the file system was changed, so I rebooted with 'shutdown -h now'.

In retrospect I'm guessing I should have rebooted with "reboot" but I wasn't
thinking (hadn't had by fs problems for a while).

So, what have I done, and what can be done to fix it?

Kernel is Generic-45, system is 1.2.

Thanks,

Jeffrey Ohlmann
