Trying to get X11R6 up and running (IIci, internal video, 8mb ram,
cache), I run into the following problem: X11R6 is installed in /usr, so
when I type (for now):
/usr/X11R6/bin/X The screen 'greys' (as grey as it can dither in
1 bit mode), my mouse becomes active with it's cursor being a big X in
the screen which appropriately moves about when the mouse is moved.
Nothing else happens and the system apparantly hangs.

I'm NOT running dt as per the FAQ. I started X directly from the main shell.

Granted, I'm no X wizard. What should I expect here? Why (or is) the
system hanging? What might I do to correct it? Am I starting X from the
right command?
