I am trying to configure a wireless router using NetBSD-1.5.2/i386. It
works fine with a Texas Instruments 1410 PCI cardbus bridge.

When I swap the PCI cardbus bridge for a Texas Instruments 1211 model,
everything seems fine initially: the kernel sees the device, wiconfig
sees the device and reports good signal strength and happy association
with the access point, ifconfig sees the device and reports that it's
up, but no traffic flows. The kernel prints "wi0: device timeout" from
time to time.

Is the TI 1211 PCI cardbus bridge known to work or known to be broken?
Am I likely to get better results with NetBSD-current?
