I think that FreeBSD might have been missed because Intel didn't successfully
get ahold of any of us in time.  It was a comedy of errors where everyone
on the team was "out."  I was called at home in Indy, when I was in the Bay
area (and am typically impossible to reach on the phone anyway -- at work or
at home.)

I wouldn't be surprised if NetBSD and OpenBSD weren't approached also.  This
certainly wasn't a case of Intel dropping the ball, in the FreeBSD case.
