The A8V doesn't seem to be sold anymore. I can only find them available as
refurbs. However, the A8V-MX seems to be a good board using a Via chipset.

I notice, from looking at the Asus home page, that a large number of their
currently available motherboards are based on the nforce chipsets. They
only have 3 Via boards for Athlon.

It looks like only MS Windows fully uses the capabilities of nforce boards.
