Sorry for prior incomplete message.

I recompiled a kernel with altq support, as described in the altq
installation. The new kernel is running fine (and much smaller than the
GENERIC I had running before). However, the altq daemon will not start,
claiming:

altqd[12352]: ALTQ config file is /etc/altq.conf
altqd: can't open altq device: No such file or directory

However, in my dmesg output is the line:

altq: major number is 75

What am I doing wrong?
