been there, done that, REALLY did not like it!
I think ifconfig(8) is getting far too complex -- it should be broken
appart into a well designed and well co-ordinated group of proper tools
using a much more traditional unix-like command-line syntax. Either
that or it should be turned into a little programming language.... :-)
It could probably be left unsaid, but such a change would be hard to
push through even if everyone liked the design and someone did all the
work to create a solid implementation.
