NetBSD fatmac 1.4.2 NetBSD 1.4.2 (FATMAC) #0: Mon Mar 20 00:36:27 EST 2000 mw@fatmac:/usr/src/sys/arch/hp300/compile/FATMAC hp300
>Description:
Using pkgsrc.tar.gz dated Apr 1, 2000, gimp 1.0.4 builds, installs, and
runs fine, except that it always crashes when loading a JPEG format file.
GLib-ERROR **: could not allocate 12288 bytes
aborting...
gimp terminated: sigabrt caught
wire_read: unexpected EOF (plug-in crashed?)
This may somehow be related to PR pkg/8691 regarding a problem with libgtop
There is a binary package of gimp at:
<ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/1.4.2/m68k/All/gimp-1.0.4.tgz>
The gimp also works fine with other file formats.
>How-To-Repeat:
Follow the instructions in PR pkg/8691 to compile libgtop,
build and install gimp
run gimp and try opening any JPEG format file.
Alternatively, you can download the binary packages from ftp.netbsd.org
