How about generating directories for find from fstab and use -xdev
option?
find `awk '$3 == "ffs" && $4 == "rw" {print $2}'` -xdev \
-name 'lost+found' -a -prune -o \
\( -name '*.core' -o -name 'core' \) -a -print > $TMP
