Yes.  This is the problem.  To fix this, boot into single-user mode and
enter "mount -u /dev/sd1a /" by hand to remount root as r/w, then edit
/etc/fstab.  You can also use the "mini-shell" option of the installer
to copy fstab out, edit with Alpha or BBEdit and copy the file back in.
