	Somebody did, it's Cyrus.  Given the limitations of the UNIX mail
format, there's not a lot you can do.  However, for the few decent mail
clients that don't IMAP or POP, there's fetchmail.  Fetchmail can get the
mail out of the IMAP or POP server and drop it locally, you can even check
your mail with mail(1).  Alternatively, if you use procmail like I do, you
can create a second queue for people who absolutely cannot use POP or IMAP
and have it deliver to /var/mail/user by some other mechanism.  I may have
to do that shortly.
