Well, you want to be careful; I've not seen many IDE drives that
were stunning performers. The Quantum Fireball TM, for example,
looks like it has a nice price, and even has a SCSI version. Up
here it wholesales for the equivalant of US$350, or about eleven
cents per megabyte. However, it's a 4500 RPM drive with 128K of
cache, and the performance is nowhere near that of a mid-range SCSI
drive, like a Seagate Hawk, for example.
