I put a working version of if_tun.c/if_tun.h in pub/incoming/if_tun.tar
on sun-lamp.  This version passes some basic testing but has not had any
toture testing (yet).  I'm about to do a bunch of more stressful tests
on it.

If you integrate this into the source tree you can remove the "broken"
words file the "files" entry.
