Hm... 

what you REALLY want, if you are developing, is to bootstrap from the
-current snapshot binaries. You have a interupt registration (not sure
about removal) function there.

For 1.0, you have to insert your interupt call stub into the
machdep.c, and, yes, thats hardwired in and not removable.
