Can you fix this problem?

Try putting
Option "Protocol" "standard"
in the keyboard section. This should work with Sources from two days ago. Apparently your keyboard driver has code in place that translates scancodes to AT so Xorg worked without a protocol specified, but Xorg doesn't have a table to translate your device's native scancodes so the wskbd protocol doesn't work. So, either someone needs to add a translation table to the xf86-input- kbd driver ( and then the kernel driver can get rid of the AT translation stuff ) or I need to change the default protocol back to standard for at least hpcsh.

have fun
Michael
